About Hampton Transport
Hampton Transport Services began life in 1977 on Hampton Hill Station, a sheep station owned by the Jones family near Kalgoorlie-Boulder in Western Australia. The purchase of a single Scania prime mover and livestock transport trailer began a dynasty that now encompasses Western Australia, the Northern Territory and Queensland, and sees our famous blue and yellow trucks on highways through these and every other mainland state of Australia.
The Jones family still owns and operates the business, which now has its Head Office in the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder, and has grown to employ over 400 people and diversify into such areas as open pit mining, heavy equipment hire, heavy haulage transport and general freight cartage. Three generations of the family now work within the Company.
In 2007, the Company celebrated 30 years of existence with a traditional bush camp oven dinner and party for over 300 employees and clients at the Hampton Hill shearing shed, where it all began so many years ago. The occasion also celebrated 100 years since the Jones family settled on Hampton Hill Station, which is still operated by family members.
We are proud to be bush people from humble beginnings, and we are proud of our extended family of employees who continue to combine our family values with the commercial realities of today’s business world.
